BioSpyder Technologies, Inc. today announced the publication of a new technical white paper, “From Raw Counts to Biological Insight: Handling TempO-Seq Data Effectively — Attenuation and Back-Calculation.”
The white paper examines how BioSpyder’s proprietary probe attenuation technology improves the distribution of sequencing reads across TempO-Seq® panels. By reducing reads assigned to selected highly expressed genes, attenuation redirects sequencing capacity toward mid- and low-expressing targets that may provide greater biological value.
The publication also explores how attenuation affects differential gene expression analysis and explains when back-calculation can be used to estimate the original abundance of attenuated transcripts.
Key findings include the preservation of differential expression signals between attenuated and unattenuated panels, improved quantitative stability for lower-expressing genes, and increased gene detection in single-cell applications.
